After the Apocalypse Eli (Denzel Washington) holds the secrets to saving the world in his sacred book. As Eli fights his way across the country he stumbles upon a small town run by Carnegie (Gary Oldman) and is asked to join the community after showing his explosive strength in a bar brawl.
